Chicken leg roast is mouthwatering appetizer which is prepared in healthy manner by shallow frying the chicken leg piece instead of deep fry.This goes well with briyani or curd rice or just as an appetizer with lemon and onion.Both the kids and adults will love this delicious recipe.To make it more healthier remove the skin of chicken and shallow fry it.

Tip to check chicken is cooked perfectly

Poke the flesh with fork and the color of the flesh should be white or if its in pink color then it needs few mins to get cooked

Ingredients
  1. Chicken drumstick-5
  2. Chilli powder-2 tbsp
  3. Coriander powder-2tbsp
  4. Garam masala-1 tbsp
  5. Turmeric powder-2 tsp
  6. Salt-to taste
  7. Curd-2 tbsp
  8. Ginger garlic paste-1 tbsp
  9. Oil-2 tbsp
Instructions
  1. Clean the chicken drumstick with turmeric and water.To make it more healthier remove the skin of chicken and roast it.
  2. Add chili,coriander,turmeric,garam masala powder,salt,curd,ginger garlic paste to the bowl and mix it well to make thick paste.
  3. Add the chicken drumstick to paste and marinate for about 1 hr so that all the masala flavor gets into chicken drumstick.If you don't have time freeze the chicken for about 15-30 mins.Shallow fry the chicken by adding 1 tbsp oil and cook for about 10 mins with lid on.
  4. Then Switch the chicken on other side,add another 1 tbsp oil and cook with lid on for another 10 mins.
  5. Serve chicken drumstick with briyani or curd rice or with lemon & onion as appetizer
Notes
  1. You can also marinate the chicken in refrigerator overnight and roast the next day.This makes it more flavorful and tasty.
  2. Curd can be replaced by lemon.
