Popcorn recipe is perfect for any type of snacking and it is happy food 😉 and making it home makes it healthier than the store brought.
The trick to make perfect popcorn is to check oil is hot enough to pop the kernels and using deep non stick pan with glass lid on.I have described below with details to make perfect flavored popcorn 🙂
Caramel Almond Popcorn recipe
Ingredients:
- Popcorn kernels-1 Cup
- Olive oil-2 tsp/ butter – 2 tsp
- Jaggery powder-1 cup
- Butter-1 tbsp
- Water-2 tbsp
- Chopped almond-1/4 cup
Recipe:
- Heat deep pan which has tight closed lid with oil and add 2 to 3 kernels and close the lid.Wait for the kernel to pop up.This will make sure oil is hot enough to cook all the kernels.
- Once oil is hot add all the kernels and close the lid.You will get to hear the kernels making sound while busting to popcorn.
- Meanwhile prepare caramel sauce by heating pan with jaggery powder ,2 tbsp of water and it starts to melt.
- Add 1 tbsp of butter.Keep on stirring for about 2 mins and then add chopped almonds.Saute for about 30 secs and switch off the stove.
- Once all the kernels gets cooked into popcorn or when you stop hearing the sound of the kernels busting into popcorn then transfer all the popcorn to caramel sauce pan and combine it well so that it gets blended all over the popcorn.
- Once it cools down store in airtight container or zip lock for about 3 days.
Yellow Popcorn recipe
Ingredients:
- Popcorn kernels-1 Cup
- Olive oil-2 tsp/ butter – 2 tsp
- Turmeric powder-3 tsp
- Salt-to taste (optional)
Recipe:
- Heat deep pan which has tight closed lid with oil and turmeric powder,add 2 to 3 kernels and close the lid.Wait for the kernel to pop up.This will make sure oil is hot enough to cook all the kernels.Once oil is hot add all the kernels and close the lid.You will get to hear the kernels making sound while busting to popcorn.
- Once all the kernels gets cooked into popcorn or when you stop hearing the sound of the kernels busting into popcorn then transfer all the popcorn to wide plate or large bowl or else it will get burned at the bottom of deep pan.Sprinkle salt at last if needed.
- Once it cools down store in airtight container or zip lock for about 3 days.
Orange Walnut Popcorn recipe
Ingredients:
- Orange juice-2/3 cup
- Sugar-1 cup
- Saffron-4 strands

- Heat deep pan which has tight closed lid with oil and add 2 to 3 kernels and close the lid.Wait for the kernel to pop up.This will make sure oil is hot enough to cook all the kernels.
- Once oil is hot add all the kernels and close the lid.You will get to hear the kernels making sound while busting to popcorn.
- Once all the kernels gets cooked into popcorn or when you stop hearing the sound of the kernels busting into popcorn then transfer all the popcorn to orange sauce pan and combine it well so that orange flavor gets blended with all over the popcorn.
- Once it cools down store in airtight container or zip lock for about 3 days.
