Healthy orange chicken

Healthy orange chicken is perfect appetizer and is more healthier than the deep fried version.If you like the orange flavor in chicken then you can have this Healthy orange chicken where chicken is marinated with orange sauce .Usually I prepare this for evening snacks or lunch with roti!

Ingredients
  1. Chicken breast-500 gms
  2. Pepper-3 tsp
  3. Salt-to taste
  4. Spring onion-3
  5. Orange juice-1 and 1/2 cup
  6. Oil-1 tsp
  7. Garlic- 5 chopped
  8. Ginger- 1/2 inch chopped
  9. Red chilli flakes-2 tsp
  10. Orange zest-1 tsp
  11. Sugar-2 tbsp (adjust based on your taste)
  12. Soya sauce-1 tbsp
  13. Diluted corn flour-1 tbsp of corn flour with 1/4 cup of water
Instructions
  1. Add turmeric to chicken breast and rinse it well.Chop into small cubes.
  2. Heat pan with 1 tsp of oil and then once hot add the chopped chicken breast,pepper,salt and cook till chicken gets cooked well for about 15 mins.
  3. Keep the chicken aside and use the same pan to cook the sauce.Add white part of chopped spring onion,ginger,garlic and saute for about 2 mins.
  4. Once ginger garlic gets cooked well add red chili flakes or just cut the red chili into small pieces using scissor and orange juice.
  5. Add sugar,soya suce,salt,diluted corn flour,cooked chicken.Keep on stirring for about 5-8 mins to get thickened.
  6. Garnish with Green part of spring onion to the Healthy orange chicken !
Notes
  1. If you wish you can add more oil to this recipe which will make even more tastier
