Instant mor kulambu | Buttermilk curry (10 mins)

Instant mor kulambu is simple recipe without coconut which is prepared in 10 mins and if you have curd sitting in fridge for a long time then you can make this buttermilk curry and moreover  this is not time consuming recipe too ;).I love mor kulambu with coconut as that tastes more good than this one!! My mom always prepare mor kulambu with spicy meal maker fry best combination isn’t it ????? 😉 😉 You can try eating along with rice and any spicy side dish  it would taste awesome .

Ingredients
  1. Besan flour/Chickpea flour-1 tbsp
  2. Buttermilk-2 cups
  3. Sambar powder-1 tbsp
  4. Salt-to taste
  5. Turmeric powder- 1/4 tsp
  6. Green chilli-2
  7. Ginger -2 tsp
  8. Coriander leaf-2 tsp
  9. Mustard seeds- 1 tsp
  10. Channa dal-1 tsp
  11. Urad dal-1 tsp
  12. Peanut paste- 1 tbsp (optional)
  13. Oil-1 tsp or as required
Instructions
  1. Add buttermilk,chickpea/besan/gram flour,sambar,turmeric and pulse it twice.
  2. Heat pan with oil and once hot add channa dal,urad dal. Saute till it changes to slight brown in color then add mustard to splutter.Once mustard seeds splutters add ginger,green chili. Saute for about 2 mins.
  3. Add churned buttermilk to the pan and mix it well by adding salt and peanut paste.Cook with lid on for about 6-8 mins.Garnish with coriander leaf.
  4. Serve this Instant mor kulambu with rice and side dish as vazhaikkai fry/plantain fry , potato fry ,meal maker fry
Notes
  1. You can prepare buttermilk at home by adding required amount of water to curd and pulse it twice using blender.
  2. Another method is add 1 cup of milk in bowl with 2 tbsp of lemon juice or vinegar .Stir it well and let it sit for 5 mins to get acidic.Buttermilk is ready to use in your recipes.
